Style and approach
Paul loves to observe the wedding day rather than direct it. He stays in the background, quietly taking pictures. Over 90% of the pictures he takes are captured without the subject even being aware of the camera.
Formal photography
Many of Paul's clients book him because of the relaxed approach that he has. They can get on with having a good time on their day without worrying about formal photography. However, there are occasions when clients do want some formal family pictures, and Paul is more than happy to accommodate their requests.
Paul is the sole photographer. In his experience and based on feedback, a lot of Paul’s clients prefer to have one photographer at the wedding. Guests are more comfortable as the feeling of intrusion into the day is lessened.
Colour photography
Paul produces both colour and black & white images. However, no wedding album would be complete without some colour photography. Typically 50% of the images are taken in colour.
Presentation of the pictures
The most professional way of presenting clients with their photographs is in a beautiful, custom designed album chosen by the client. The client then chooses the images taken on the day which are presented in the album apart from those that are deemed inappropriate to the design of the album or story of the day. Pauls's clients only pay one fixed price for the photography, regardless of how many images were taken. There are no gruelling and time consuming, hard sell procedures to go through, and the finished album is usually ready eight weeks after the wedding day.
Winter weddings
Paul loves images that are taken in the winter, as he enjoys working with low winter light. Winter weddings have a mood and atmosphere that is completely different to the summertime, and Paul likes to show this in his pictures.
Multi-cultural wedding experience
In addition to the typical Catholic and Church of England/Ireland and civil ceremonies, Paul shoots Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Jehovah's Witness, Serbian, Greek, Humanist, Buddhist, and Spiritualist wedding ceremonies.
